Hello, I'm Ning Zhang, a third-year Interactive Media Design student at Algonquin College, specializing in UX and visual design.
I'm eager to apply my skills through a UX design internship, particularly in interface design and information architecture.
Before pivoting to design, I spent several years in Beijing as a patent legal advisor at a major tech company, where I honed my skills in teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and project management.
I'm also a passionate photographer with professional-level expertise in every step of the photography process — from scouting and planning to shooting and post-processing — and I'm proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Since early 2023, I've been exploring AI-generated art using tools like Midjourney, and some of my work has been featured in Chinese art exhibitions and photography magazines.
At Algonquin College, I've expanded my skill set through hands-on projects in graphic design, video production, web development, and UX design, becoming proficient with industry-standard tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), Figma, and front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
I’ve also produced event photography and short-form videos for content creators, which honed my visual storytelling and cross-functional collaboration skills.
I have a creative eye for visual aesthetics and design concepts, and I love blending art and technology to craft meaningful user experiences, often drawing inspiration from my travels and live music experiences.
