A Parallel Universe

I started using Midjourney in early 2023 to create images, mostly focusing on portraits. This complements my usual street photography style perfectly. The works you see here were generated using Midjourney—from v4 to v7—illustrating how technology upgrades influence image aesthetics. All images have been upscaled with Magnfic AI, resulting in 4K resolution and astonishing detail. For a while, I was completely immersed in AI portrait creation; it felt like opening a parallel universe and inviting its inhabitants into my world.

An AI Portrait Project：Lover

A Two-Year Journey in AI-Driven Conceptual Photography

This project has been a nearly two-year exploration into AI-driven conceptual photography since I first encountered AIGC imaging technology. The rapid development of these tools has eased many traditional creative challenges, especially in staging portraits and setting up scenes. Titled Lover, the project reflects my thoughts on modern issues such as relationships, spiritual pursuits, and the pressures of everyday life of Chinese sociaty. What began as a reaction against the overly saccharine trends in today’s photography scene has evolved into a systematic creative practice. Some works have been exhibited in art show of China, and a few have been featured in magazines, allowing my vision to reach a wider audience.
