Creative Intent
This project explores the intersection of print and digital design—specifically, how the vibrant aesthetic of summer event posters can translate into interactive web experiences.
Design Question: Can I create websites that function like interactive posters while maintaining usability?
Visual Inspiration
Drawing from my background in photography and graphic design, I was inspired by:
Warm, sunlit festival photography;
Handwritten typography's organic feel;
The immediate visual impact of event posters.
Creative Process
Visual Direction
Photography: Curated warm-toned images that capture summer festival energy; created film style images about enents and live music using Midjourney.
Typography: Selected handwritten fonts to complement the organic, grassroots feel.
Illustrations: Created custom hand-drawn elements using Midjourney, then refined into vector graphics in Illustrator.
The background image I found on Unsplash, with some post-production using Photoshop to enhance its visual appeal.
